Problem: I cannot interact with a scratch applet.

Details: Scratch projects on the Scratch Site or other webpages will not load
This is a Java Sun problem. The Scratch program itself is no problem on the XO - it is a built-in activity. The problem is that uploaded Scratch projects require Java to run and Java (due to licensing issues) is not bundled with the XO.

1. I downloaded and installed latest firmware - see: How2
1.a. I also installed the latest versions of the software applications - including scratch
      1.b. Restarted XO.
2. I installed the latest version of openJDK with plugin Briefly

From the directions on: http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Java#Installing_OpenJDK_Java
Then I ran from Terminal: sudo yum -y install java-1.6.0-openjdk-plugin

      2.a. Restarted XO.
Scratch applets on my pages now work directly.    Sample pages
Scratch applets on the Scratch Site say "You need Java to run this project", but there is a place to click: “I am sure I have the plugin, show me the project”. Click on this and the project loads.
